Ohhh,can never,ever get too many coffee reation recipies,can we? 8) Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup sugar |
1 cup strong coffee |
1 cup milk |
2 egg yolks |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 baked pastry shells |
12 egg whites |
4 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. 2. Combine flour, salt and sugar, mix well. 3. Add in the coffee and milk. 4. Cook until thick, and stir constantly. 5. Slowly stir in beaten yolks, cook 1 minute. 6. Add butter, combine. 7. Let cool well. 8. When cooled, pour into shell. 9. MERINGUE:. 10. Beat whites until frothy. Gradually add in the sugar and vanilla extract, & continue to beat until stiff. 11. Top pie with meringue. 12. Bake for 10-15 minutes. |
