Hungarian American Cookbook Ingredients:
2 tablespoons instant coffee |
1 cup scalded milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs, well beaten |
1 teaspoon butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Scald coffee with milk. 2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and well beaten eggs. 3. Strain milk; add gradually to sugar mixture. 4. Add butter; cook in a double boiler until thick and creamy, stirring constantly. 5. Add vanilla and cool. |
