1/3 cup yellow cake mix or spice cakemix--well sifted |
2 tsp. applesauce |
1 table. water |
2 table. eggbeaters(original recipe 1 eggwhite ) |
non-stick spray |
topping |
2 tsp. brown sugar |
1 tsp. finely chopped nuts, and/or sesame seeds |
1/4 tsp. cinnamon |
british mixed spice |
1 tablespoon cloves |
1 tablespoon mace |
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg |
1 tablespoon coriander seeds |
1 tablespoon allspice berries |
a small piece of cinnamon stick |
grind all spices to a fine powder. keep in an airtight jar. |
Directions:
1. In a 12 oz. to 16 oz. mug - pyrex 2 cup measuring cup, spray with the nonstick. I used about 1/2 teaspoon of the British Mixed Spice stirred into the cake mix. 2. The first ingredient is the cake mix. Next combine the applesauce, water and egg liquid. Pour over the cakemix. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the mug mixture. Into the microwave for 2 minutes. Let cool 1 minute. 3. Tip out and enjoy! |
