Always liked this one. Make a day ahead,the flavor enhances with advance baking. Ingredients:
2-1/4 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon soda |
1 cup butter,softened |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup sour cream |
3 farm fresh eggs |
1/4 cup good old irish whiskey |
3 tablespoons instant coffee |
powdered sugar and whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Grease and flour a 12 Cup Bundt pan. 2. Dissolve instant coffee in whiskey. 3. Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl,beat on low until moist,then beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. 4. Pour into prepared pan. 5. Bake in 325 degrees oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until top of cake springs back when touched lightly in center. 6. Cool cake upright in pan for about 15 minutes,then remove from pan and cool completely. 7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream 8. Best when served the next day after being wrapped ,to enhances the flavors. |
