these look nice cut into diamond shpaes, but bars work well also.. Ingredients:
1/2 cup crisco |
1 large egg |
1/2 cup strong hot coffee |
1 2/3 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons hot coffee |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. combine in order.the crisco, sugar, egg, coffee, flour,baking powder, soda, cinnamon, salt, raisins, and walnuts. 2. spread in a greased jelly roll pan - 3. bake at 350* for 15 minutes. 4. cool in pan on wire rack until thoroughly cooled. 5. ICING:. 6. combine all frosting ingredients and spread on cooled bars - 7. let icing set - 8. cut into bars or diamond shapes - . |
