I got this recipe from a friend after I tried them at her place - they are so good... A nice twist on macaroons! Ingredients:
1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk |
4 tablespoons coffee, cooled and strong |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
6 cups flaked coconut |
3/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. In a big bowl, mix condensed milk with coffee and vanilla. Stir in coconut and almonds; mix well. 2. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper-lined cookie sheets. 3. Bake on middle rack of preheated 325 degree oven, 10-12 minutes or until browned around the edges. Remove immediately to wire racks; cool completely. |
