A great morning treat! A quick & easy way to fill those hungry stomachs. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
3/4 cup buttermilk |
1/2 cup applesauce |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350. 2. Coat 9 square pan with cooking spray. 3. Combine 2 cups flour, baking powder, soda, salt, & 1 tsp cinnamon. 4. Mix buttermilk, applesauce, egg, & vanilla. Stir in sugar. 5. Stir in flour mixture, pour into pan. 6. Combine remaining flour & cinnamon with brown sugar, stir in butter. 7. Sprinkle over batter. Bake 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. 8. Cool. |
