1 cup sugar |
1 cup evaporated milk |
3 egg yolks |
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 12 minutes or until candy thermometer registers 208°. 2. Add vanilla, coconut, and pecans; stir until frosting is cool and reaches spreading consistency. |
