Moms coconut pecan frosting. Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar |
2/3 cup canned milk |
2 egg yolks |
1/3 cup crisco |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut |
2/3 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In sauce pan, combine sugar, canned milk, egg yolks, Crisco, and Vanilla. 2. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat 12 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Add coconut and pecans, mixing until frosting is thick, let stand 15 minutes. 5. Spread ontop of cake layers. |
