My niece and I made this one day. It ended up being my honey’s favorite. I think it’s sweet. I had a great time doing this with my God Daughter. I ended up not following the recipe and hated to waste the rest of the can of condensed milk. Read more . So added the entire can, so we kept adding more coconut and sugar and making round masses of mess. But, fun tasty messes. Then we dipped them into chocolate. Everyone seemed to like them. These are supposedly to be called mounds. Ugh, I would not go that far. They are creamy and sweet and they are their own thing and good on their own rite. We had bonding time and Mikey has never stopped asking for this little treat, so I am glad I found it tonight looking through my recipes for another recipe!! Ingredients:
our little messes |
5 oz. sweetened condensed milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups 10 x sugar |
14 oz coconut |
Directions:
1. Blend vanilla and milk. add sugar a little at a time until smooth. Stir in coconut. 2. Mix should be firm. Pat into 9x13 pan. Chill. Cut and dip in your favorite coating. 3. We did not place this into a pan. We made little balls and dipped it into chocolate. |
