Found in Momma's hand written recipe file box. Macaroon like confection. Simple beyond belief, You have to be a coconut lover to like these. My mother adored toasted coconut ANYTHING! Ingredients:
1 14 ounce package of shredded coconut |
1 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk |
1 teaspoon best quality vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix thoroughly. 2. Spoon on (non-stick sprayed) cookie sheet. 3. Bake at 375 degrees about 12 minutes or until they are uniformly lightly brown. 4. Let stand until partially cooled to help them set while on the cookie sheet. 5. Then, cool completely on wax paper lined cookie racks. 6. Store tightly in tins. |
