If you love sweet creamy desserts, this is for you. A nice recipe from Imperial Sugar and one you will love.Please enjoy! Ingredients:
1 cup imperial sugar/dixie crystals extra fine granulated sugar |
10 tablespoons water |
2 tablespoons butter |
5 teaspoons grated coconut |
6 egg yolks |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl bring sugar and water to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Immediately afterwards, add butter and stir at low heat until a thick syrup consitsency appears. Allow syrup to cool. Then, add grated coconut and egg yolks and carefully stir (do not beat) to get a creamy, homogeneous mixture. Pour the mixture into a mold (if you prefer, use individual molds) and then put it in the oven in a double boiler for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°F. 2. Wait until Flan cools completely and remove from mold. |
