It can be served with rice as well as used as side dish for rotis Ingredients:
250 gms toor dhal |
150 gms grated coconut |
1/2 tsp cumin seeds |
1/2 tsp mustard seeds |
1/2 tsp turmeric powder |
2 dry red chillies |
4 small onions |
1 tbsp coconut oil |
few curry leaves |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Soak dhal for about half an hour and boil it in pressure cooker. 2. Grind coconut,cumin seeds,small onions,turmeric powder,salt and curry leaves together and keep it aside 3. Heat oil in a pan 4. Add mustard seeds and let it pop 5. Now add curry leaves and dry red chillies 6. Add the ground items n stir for 2 mts 7. Now add the boiled dhal and 100 ml water 8. Cook covered for 5 mts. |
