There are a number of coconut chutneys on Recipezaar that look very interesting. I am adding mine to them. Ingredients:
1 cup grated coconut |
2 green chilies |
1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste |
1 teaspoon black mustard seeds |
3 teaspoons peanuts (or peanut butter) |
1/4 teaspoon tamarind pulp |
Directions:
1. grind all ingrediants, except mustard seeds, together with a little water to moisten mix. 2. In one tablespoon of hot oil in frying pan add mustard seed till they pop. Add to ground mix. |
