these cookies are wonderfully chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.. this is another cookie that goes very fast.. The recipe came out of a chocolate pamphet, but I've made several changes to the orginal. the prep time doesn't count the hour chill time Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 teasp. vanilla |
1/2 teasp. salt |
2 cups flour |
1 ex. large egg |
1/4 cup hershey's cocoa powder |
1 cup finely chopped pecans |
hershey's kisses |
confectioners sugar, or white chocolate, or semi-sweet or milk chocolate |
Directions:
1. mixer bowl: cream butter, sugar, vanilla until light and fluffy. add egg and beat 2. mix together the flour and cocoa powder 3. add to creamed mixture. beat at low speed until well mixed 4. add nuts mix well 5. chill the dough for one hour 6. take the wrappers off the chocolate kisses 7. mold small amount of chilled cookie dough around each of the chocolate kisses.. follow the shape of the kiss 8. place on a ungreased cookie sheet 9. bake at 350' for 10-12 mins. or until almost set 10. cool then either roll in confectioners sugar.. OR melt your choice of chocolate and dip whole cookie in it or what I do, is dip the top in white chocolate |
