The perfect potluck meatball. Ingredients:
meatballs |
1 lb hamburger |
1/2 c bread crumbs |
1 t salt |
1 t accent |
1/4 c milk |
1 small onion, minced /onion flakes |
flour |
2 t butter, butter crisco or nuco margarine |
sauce |
1/4 c molasses |
1/4 c vinegar |
1/4 c catsup |
1/4 t tobasco sauce |
1/2 t marjoram |
Directions:
1. Mix together hamburger, bread crumbs, salt, accent, milk, and onion. 2. Form into tiny balls. 3. Meatballs: 4. Roll in flour and brown in butter (1 used butter flavored Crisco, it doesn’t burn like butter does or Nuco Margarine, if available). 5. Sauce: 6. Combine molasses, tobasco sauce, vinegar, marjoram, and catsup. 7. Pour over meatballs; simmer 10 minutes, stirring several times until meatballs are glazed. 8. Yield: 60 meatballs at 4 per person. |
