This is the first meatballs I have ever made, so I don't really know what meatballs are suppose to taste like. These balls are good though. The chili sauce and grape jelly go great together. Ingredients:
1 lb lean hamburger |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1/3 cup minced onion |
1/4 cup milk |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon parsley |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 bottle chili sauce |
1 (10 ounce) jar grape jelly |
Directions:
1. Mix meat, crumbs, onion, milk, egg, parsley, Worcestershire, pepper. 2. Mix well. 3. Shape into balls. 4. Bake 350 20-25 minutes. 5. In the meantime, heat chili sauce and grape jelly in a saucepan. 6. Add meatballs (when done in the oven) and coat and simmer meatballs about 30 min uncovered. |
