Idli cooked in tasty Manchurian gravy. Ingredients:
1). 30 cocktail idlis |
2). 2 green chillies (finely chopped) |
3). 1 small onion (finely chopped) |
4). 1 tbsp chopped garlic |
5). 1/2 tsp chopped ginger |
6). 3 tsp soy sauce |
7). 1 tsp vinegar |
8). 3 tbsp or more tomato ketchup |
9). chopped cilantro or chopped green onion for garnishing |
10). 1 tsp corn starch (mixed in 3/4 cup of water) |
11). 2 tbsp oil |
12). salt to taste |
Directions:
1. 1. Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Fry till golden brown. 2. 2. Add chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute for few seconds. 3. 3. Add soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup and salt. Mix well. 4. 4. Add corn starch and bring it to a boil. 5. 5. Now add the idlis and mix so as to coat it well with the sauce. 6. 6. Serve hot garnished with cilantro or green onion. |
