There's a lot going on in this complex rye whiskey cocktail named after an old restaurant in New Orleans. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups ice |
1 fluid ounce rye whiskey |
3/4 fluid ounce benedictine® liqueur |
3/4 fluid ounce sweet vermouth |
3 dashes aromatic bitters (such as peychaud's®) |
1 maraschino cherry for garnish |
Directions:
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. 2. Pour in whiskey, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, anise liqueur and bitters. Cover shaker and shake several times to combine. 3. Stir well and strain into a cocktail glass; garnish with a cherry. |
