Ingredients:
1/2 cup(s) flour
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) milk
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/2 stick(s) butter
desired cup(s) fruit
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together and add milk gradually to make batter. Melt butter in baking dish in oven until sizzling hot and pour in batter. Add desired fruit. Bake 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. (For a more spicy flavor add 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, or cinnamon to apples-for apple cobbler). The fruit is dumped into the batter-as the Cobbler bakes the batter rises around it in crusty golden folds.
