I have some rather large pieces of silver....some of them dating back to l884 that have been passed down through the family! This was enough to clean 2 large trays, 2 mugs, a 4 peice tea set and a pitcher. Ingredients:
2 sheets aluminum foil |
1/2 cup baking soda |
1/2 cup table salt |
hot water |
Directions:
1. Place the aluminum foil on the bottom of the sink and add baking soda and salt. 2. Add your silver and fill the sink with hot water until all pieces are submerged. Let the pieces soak for 30 minutes. Note: My trays are bigger than my sink, so I turned the tray half way through. 3. Remove the silver from the water and buff with a soft cloth. |
