Toasted pecans add a sweet crunch to this buttery side. Ingredients:
1 package (16 ounces) frozen sliced carrots |
2 tablespoons water |
2 green onions, thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons butter, cubed |
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons chopped pecans, toasted |
Directions:
1. Place carrots and water in a large microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Stir in the onions, butter, oregano, garlic salt and pepper. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes longer or until carrots are crisp-tender. Sprinkle with pecans. Yield: 4 servings. |
