Sounds odd but tastes delicious. My Mom made this over 30 years ago, so this has been around for a while. I top it with Cream Cheese Icing YUMMY!!! Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 (10 ounce) can condensed tomato soup (284 ml) |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. 2. Cream Butter and Sugar. 3. Mix in remaining ingredients. 4. Pour in lightly greased 9 square cake pan. 5. Cook for 30 to 35 minutes until done. 6. (When toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out dry.). 7. Let cool completly and ice cake with Cream Cheese Icing . |
