CLASSIC QUICHE (70'S STYLE) |

A great dish to eat while wearing bell-bottoms, and listening to a Bee Gees or 5th Demension album. Ingredients:
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled |
1 9 unbaked pie shell |
2 cups shredded swiss cheese (8 ounces) |
3 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 1/2 cups half-and-half |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Place bacon in pie shell, then sprinkle in cheese. 2. In bowl, beat together eggs, half-and-half, salt and pepper. 3. Pour over the cheese. 4. Break cold butter into small pieces over top. 5. Bake in 375 oven 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. 6. Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving. |
