Great budget dinner, fresh, delicious and super-affordable meal idea. This is from Ladies Home Journal. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 grated onion |
2 minced garlic cloves |
1/2 cup chopped parsley |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 egg |
3/4 cup marinara sauce, plus 1/4 cup |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup bread, crumbs |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, parsley, thyme, egg, 3/4 cup marinara, salt, milk, and bread crumbs. 2. Form into a loaf on a baking sheet; cook at 375 for 1 hour. 3. Brush top with 1/4 cup marinara mixed with brown sugar and broil until bubbly. |
