Whatever happened to one of the most interesting Jello desserts ?? This light and airy dessert was popular while growing up back in the 70's ( as a child of course!) I remember peeking in the fridge after Mom prepared to watch these beauties take form. Read more .. Memorie's....and so good! Ingredients:
3/4 cup boiling water |
1 package (4-serving size) jell-o brand gelatin -- any flavor |
1/2 cup cold water |
ice cubes |
3/4 cup cool whip non-dairy whipped topping -- thawed |
Directions:
1. Pour boiling water into blender. Add gelatin. Cover and blend at low speed until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 30 seconds. 2. Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1-1/4 cups. Add to gelatin and stir until ice is partially melted. Then add whipped topping; blend at high speed for 30 seconds. 3. Pour into dessert glasses. (Slowly!!) 4. Chill about 30 minutes. Dessert layers as it chills. ( It really does!) |
