Ingredients:
1 pound(s) swiss cheese (gruyere of emmenthaler) shredded |
1 clove(s) garlic minced |
1-2 teaspoon(s) cornstarch |
1 cup(s) white wine room temperature |
Directions:
1. Toss shredded cheese in cornstarch. Warm wine and garlic until small bubbles just begin to rise to surface. Add handfuls of cheese to warm wine, stirring continuously and allowing cheese to melt before adding more. 2. Serve immediately with dippers. Possible dippers include: 3. French bread, cut in bite-size pieces 4. Apples 5. Cubed Ham 6. Grapes 7. Brocolli 8. Cauliflower 9. Mushrooms 10. Cherry tomatoes 11. Bell Peppers 12. Shrimp 13. Notes: We have found success in using Pinot Grigio that is room temperature. The measurements do not need to be exact, adjust ingredients to your tastes and the desired consistency of fondue. |
