This surprisingly easy recipe is for the old standby, the classic graham cracker crust. The graham cracker crust is used baked and unbaked depending on the pie recipe. I cover both here. I recommend making two pies and sharing one with a friend! Read more ! You just can’t go wrong when you share. M
Ingredients:
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
1-1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 12 graham crackers in a zipper bag with air removed and a rolling pin then measured)
1/4 cup sugar
Directions:
1. UNBAKED CRUST:
2. Combine ingredients in a medium bowl to the consistency of coarse meal.
3. Press into 9” pie plate evenly all around, about 1/8” thick. If the crumbs won’t stick add 1 tablespoon of water to the mix.
4. Chill for one hour in refrigerator.
5. BAKED CRUST:
6. Follow unbaked recipe including the one hour chill.
7. Preheat oven to 375F.
8. Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
9. Remove to rack for cooling.
