Prefer to make at home rather dan buying from Fast Food Outlets . Ingredients:
500 g dory fillet |
1/2 c plain flour |
potato wedges |
batter |
1 c self raising flour or 1 1/2 c bread crumbs and 1 egg |
pinch of salt |
1 tsp canola oil |
garnish |
sprigs of parsley , 2 lemon wedges , tartar sauce |
or |
shredded cabbage , carrot strips , tomato slices , lemon wedges and mustard /mayonnaise |
Directions:
1. Rinse the fish fillet and coat lightly with the plain flour , shake the excess flour . 2. Make a well in the middle of the flour , salt and oil to make batter . 3. Chill it . 4. Dip the fillet and Deep fry in hot oil 5. Dip the fillet in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs 6. and deep fry in hot oil . 7. Drain in absorbent paper . 8. Fry the potato wedges in the same pan and drain on oil absorbent paper. 9. Garnish of your Choice . 10. Serve HOT . |
