Classic Creamed Corn Au Gratin |

This is the way that that upscale restaurants serve their corn, served separate in a small dish. Ingredients:
4 cups frozen corn kernels |
3 cups whipping cream |
salt |
1 pinch white pepper |
3 tablespoons sugar |
4 tablespoons melted butter |
4 tablespoons flour |
1/3-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine the corn, cream, salt, sugar and white pepper; bring to a boil. 2. Boil for 5 minutes. 3. In a saucepan melt butter. 4. Add in flour and whisk for 1 minute. 5. Add in the corn mixture; mix well to combine. 6. Set oven to broil. 7. Place the corn in a casserole dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. 8. Broil under heat until browned. |
