This is a dense, delicious cheesecake. My husband is a lover of cheesecakes and this one is his favorite. If you can’t eat it all at once, it freezes well. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
24 ounces cream cheese (softed) |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
3 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
6 eggs |
10 ounces sour cream |
4 tablespoons sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine crumbs and butter, press into buttered spring form pan, bottom and sides. 2. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually blend in sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt. 3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. 4. Pour filling into crumb crust. 5. Bake at 325 until set (for about an hour). 6. While cheesecake is baking, combine sour cream, sugar, and vanilla, spoon over top of cooked cheesecake. 7. Bake 10 mins longer. 8. Cool in oven. 9. Chill for several hours before serving. 10. Top with cherries, strawberries, or leave it plain. |
