Classic Buttermilk Biscuits

Just your basic buttermilk biscuits. What could be better?
Ingredients:
3 cups self rising flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
butter, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
2. Mix dry ingredients.
3. Cut in shortening.
4. Stir in buttermilk.
5. Knead & roll out on floured work surface.
6. Cut with biscuit cutter.
7. Bake 10-12 minutes until golden.
8. Brush with butter.
