A classic French treat. Super easy to prepare for even the most novice cook but will make you look like a four star Chef! Ingredients:
1 duck quartered |
1.5lbs rendered duck fat (available at the new york butcher shop if you have one) |
1 sprig rosemary |
4 cloves fresh garlic |
3 whole peeled shallots |
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven to 300 2. Combine Duck,Garlic,Rosemary,and Shallots in a deep oven safe half pan. Cover ingredients with fat then cover pan with foil. Place in oven and roast for 3 hours or until duck falls from bone. 3. *NOTE* 4. DUCK FAT WILL BE UNBELIEVABLY HOT WHEN FIRST REMOVED FROM OVEN! LET COOL FOR FORTY FIVE MIN! 5. *NOTE* 6. You can reuse the fat for your next batch! |
