A simple appetizer. Ingredients:
15 cherrystone clams |
1 tbl parsley flakes |
1 tsp minced garlic, optional |
2 drops hot pepper sauce |
2/3 cup instant mashed potatoes |
2 cups seasoned dry bread crumbs |
2 cups peanut or corn oil |
Directions:
1. Place shucked clams and juice in a blender. Blend clams in an on-and-off technique until just minced. Pour into a bowl and add parsley, garlic, hot pepper sauce, potatoes, and bread crumbs. Mix together with a spoon, then form tablespoon-sized balls. Drop nto 2 cups of oil and deep fry until golden puffs form. 2.
