Clipped from the Star Telegram newspaper in the early 70's. Ingredients:
6 egg yolks |
1 whole egg |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 tablespoon cornmeal |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 cup heavy cream |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients and mix throughly. 2. Beat eggs until very light. 3. Add dry mixture, then cream and add melted butter and vanilla. 4. Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake 350 degrees about 25 to 30 mintues. Unless one has a very deep pie dish, I suggest baking 2 pies. 5. When done, they will slightly soft in center, but remove them at this stage and they will become just right. |
