Even though this recipe gives instructions for cooking the chicken in the oven, we grilled ours and added the sauce afterwards. Deliciously sweet and tangy! Adapted from a recipe by Melissa McSwain in Mixin' it Up with Massey. Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts |
lemon pepper seasoning, to taste |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 teaspoons lime juice |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1/3 cup water |
Directions:
1. Sprinkle seasoning on chicken breasts. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes or until done. Combine sugars, juices, cornstarch, and water. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Cook over low heat until thickened. Pour over breasts. |
