Found this in a bar and square cookbook from the library but can't recall the title. Anyway, they are a different take on the very popular lemon bar. Lovely blend of citrus flavors. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
2 tablespoons icing sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon mace |
6 tablespoons butter |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
2/3 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 tablespoon lemon zest |
1 tablespoon orange zest |
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest |
3 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh) |
Directions:
1. Oven 350 degrees. 2. To make crust: blend all together until crumbly and press into an 8 inch square pan. 3. Bake approximately 15 minutes or until slightly colored. 4. To make topping: whisk all ingredients together and pour over hot crust. 5. Bake about 20 minutes. |
