Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar, divided |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla. 2. Sift together flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small mixing bowl; gradually add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Chill at least 1 hour. 3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool on wire racks. 4. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle over tops of cookies while warm. |
