A delightful candy coated nut that fills the air with the scent of cinnamon while cooking in your oven. These nuts are perfect for putting out in small bowls for your holiday guests and family. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1-1/4 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg white |
2 cups roasted macadamia nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 2. Lightly oil a baking sheet. 3. Stir sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt with a fork until blended. Whisk in egg white until foamy. 4. Stir in nuts. 5. Spread on prepared baking sheet and bake 10 minutes. 6. Stir and bake another 10 minutes. 7. Cool and store in an airtight container. 8. Makes about 2 cups. 9. Honolulu Star-Bulletin 7/2001 |
