1/4 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon lemon peel, grated |
2 cups flour, sifted |
4 tablespoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1 cup milk |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cu p suagr till light and fluffy; beat in egg and lemon peel. 2. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. 3. Fill 2-inch muffin pan 2/3 full. 4. Bake at 375 F for 15 minutes. 5. While hot, dip muffins in melted butter then roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. |
