A simple cake mix bundt cake. Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 package yellow cake mix |
4 eggs |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Generously grease 12-cup bundt cake pan. 3. Mix brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon thoroughly; reserve. 4. Blend cake mix (dry), eggs, water, and butter in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, until moistened. 5. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently, 3 minutes. 6. Do Not Overbeat! 7. Sprinkle reserved brown sugar mixture over batter; fold into batter 5 or 6 times for a marbled effect. 8. Pour batter into prepared pan. 9. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. 10. Cool 10 minutes; invert on wire rack. 11. Remove pan; cool cake completely. 12. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. |
