Jean Edwards provided the recipe. If you don't have the time to make homemade dough, this is a quick and easy but still delicious version of sticky buns. I've made this for office socials and had no leftovers. Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup corn syrup |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup ground cinnamon |
34 5/8 ounces large refrigerated biscuits (2 tubes) |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. 2. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. 3. Add the pecans. 4. Spoon into a greased 13x9x2 baking pan. 5. In a shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. 6. Cut each biscuit in half and dip in cinnamon-sugar. 7. Place, cut side down, over brown sugar mixture. 8. Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. 9. Invert onto a serving plate and serve warm. |
