Cinnamon Rolls for the Breadmaker |

combination of a few different recipes Ingredients:
1 tablespoon fast rising yeast |
1/2 cup warm water |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 cup warm milk |
1 cup soft butter |
1 3/4 cups sugar |
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon water (or enough to desired thickness) |
Directions:
1. In bread machine combine yeast, water and 1 teaspoon sugar and wait until foaming. 2. Add the remaining ingredients and set to dough cycle. 3. When cycle is done punch down dough and let it rest for 5 minutes. 4. Combine ingredients for filling in a small bowl and spread over dough. 5. Roll up and pinch edge together to seal. 6. Cut into 9 slices. 7. Butter a 13x9 pan and place cinnamon roll slices close together in pan. 8. Let rise in a warm place until dough is doubled in bulk i.e. for about 20 minutes. 9. Preheat oven to 350°F. 10. Bake for 25 minutes or until done. 11. Cool. 12. To make icing combine all ingredients and mix with a whisk until smooth. 13. Pour icing over rolls. |
