Everyday Food Ingredients:
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
4 gala apples or 4 fuji apples |
4 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450. 2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup water. 3. Halve apples and core using a spoon or melon baller. Toss apples in the sugar. 4. Arrange apples, skin up in a baking dish then pour sugar over them. Tuck in cinnamon sticks and cover with foil. 5. Bake until apples are easily pierced about 15-20 minutes. |
