This snack is perfect for a little nibble. it is very easy and great for beginners.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup margarine or butter
2 1/2 cups stater bros
honey oats & flakes cereal crushed to 1 3/4 cups
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup raisins
1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Grease baking sheet.
3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in large bowl.
4. Cut in margarine until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
5. Add cereal; mix well.
6. Combine two eggs, buttermilk, and raisins in separate bowl; add to cereal mixture and stir until dough clings together.
7. Knead on lightly floured surface 5 to 6 strokes.
8. Divide dough in half.
9. Roll or pat each half into a 6-inch circle, 3/4-inch thick.
10. Cut each circle into 6 wedges.
11. Separate and place on prepared baking sheet.
12. Brush tops with egg and water mixture.
13. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
