After lots of tinkering with different recipes, this one is my family's favourite so far. We use a black and decker all in one bread machine. My boys would eat it every day for breakfast if they could! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 1/2 cups warm water |
2 tablespoons margarine |
4 cups white flour |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
3 teaspoons cinnamon |
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast |
3/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. soak rasins in hot water for 5 minutes, then drain thouroughly. 2. add all ingredients in order listed (except the raisins - add those at the beep). 3. bake on 2 lb loaf, light or med crust, sweet settings on machine. |
