Cinnamon Pecan Shortbread Bars |

A good anytime bar...snack/with coffee/dessert....good with a cold glass of milk..my favorite way to indulge. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan. 2. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. 3. Add flour, cinnamon, salt and vanilla; mix well. 4. Stir in 1/2 cup of the pecans. 5. Press dough in bottom of pan. 6. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecans over dough; press in lightly. 7. Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned. 8. Cool completely. 9. Cut into bars. |
