Adapted from and inspired by Butterscotch Blondies, butterscotch blondies. The store was out of butterscotch chips, and this came to mind when I saw the cinnamon chips. Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine, softened |
3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup cinnamon baking chips |
1 cup white chocolate chips |
3/4 cup walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan (I like to use the wrapper from the butter to do this). 3. Beat butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until creamy. 4. Add eggs and beat well. 5. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg; gradually add to butter mixture, blending well. 6. Stir in cinnamon chips, white chocolate chips and nuts. 7. Spread into prepared pan. The batter will be very thick. 8. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is set. 9. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. 10. Cut into bars. |
