These golden twists have a pleasant cinnamon and nut filling and just a hint of sweetness. Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
2 tablespoons margarine |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon |
1/3 cup walnuts (chopped) |
Directions:
1. Unroll both tubes of dough; press perforations and seams together to form two rectangles. 2. Spread with margarine. 3. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. 4. Sprinkle with walnuts. 5. Fold each rectangle in half, starting from a short side. 6. Cut each into eight strips. 7. Twist each strip and tie into a knot. 8. Place on ungreased baking sheets. 9. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. 10. Serve warm. |
