Your slow cooker isn't just for savoury stews and soups. Try this recipe and you can have your cross-country ski pals greeted with the aroma of cinnamon lattes topped with whipped cream!! Ingredients:
6 cups brewed coffee, double strength (see note) |
2 cups half-and-half cream |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 cinnamon sticks, plus additional for garnish |
whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Blend coffee, half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla in a slow cooker. Add cinnamon sticks. Cover; cook on high for 3 hours. 2. Remove cinnamon sticks. Serve latte in tall coffee mugs with dollop of whipped cream and cinammon sticks if desired. 3. NOTE: Double the amount of coffee grounds normally used to brew coffee, or substitute 8 teaspoons instant coffee dissolved in 6 cups boiling water. |
